Idle Hour
4824 Vineland Ave
Los Angeles, CA 91601
(818) 980-5604

The first thing you’ll notice as you drive down Vineland towards this bar is the fact that it sits within a GIGANTIC whiskey barrel. What’s the deal? Well, Idle Hour has some history. In fact, it originally opened in 1941, and has since re-opened by the people behind popular bars Thirsty Crow and Sassafras. It’s not every day you can say you drank inside of a giant themed whiskey barrel, so head on down, hang out on the expansive patio, and order one of their special cocktails like the Georgia Moon, with Rittenhouse Rye, Maraschino, Peche De Vigne, Lemon, and Rhubarb Bitters.
