College Football Week 14: #2 Alabama Vs. #3 Georgia
|Nick Saban doesn’t like that the loser of this game will get passed by Florida for a BCS bowl bid. Of course Florida would rather have the chance to get to the national championship, as Alabama does.||Coaching||Like Alabama, Georgia crushed its in-state rival last weekend. Now the Bulldogs are one win away from playing for a national championship.|
|Alabama was absolutely dominant against Auburn in the Iron Bowl. The Tide gained 483 yards and converted 11 of 14 third downs.||Offense||The Bulldogs didn’t put up huge numbers last week, but they were incredibly efficient. Moving the ball against Alabama will be much more difficult, but Georgia has the weapons.|
|Alabama held Auburn to 163 yards, but Georgia’s balanced attack will provide a much stiffer challenge.||Defense||Georgia’s D can match Alabama’s as far as individual talent and will be counted on for another big game.|
|The Tide is eight overall in the Football Outsiders special teams rankings.||Special Teams||The Bulldogs’ special teams are middle-of-the-road; they are weighed down by poor punting and punt returning.|

The United States have advanced to the Round of 16 in back-to-back World Cup’s for the first time in history. After getting second place in Group G, USA will face Group H winner Belgium. Belgium, who is full of immensely talented players that play in EPL, is ranked 12th in the World heading into the tournament. Unlike the last two games for the Yanks, striker Jozy Altidore will be listed questionable for Tuesday’s game in Salvador, Brazil.
