Coming into their Monday Night Football contest with the AFC South leading Indianapolis Colts, the San Diego Chargers averted a last-minute blackout in their hometown.

The San Diego Chargers will have a new kicker Sunday in Kansas City, with the team saying regular kicker Nate Kaeding didn’t make the trip for the game.
Veteran kicker Nick Novak agreed Tuesday to a two-year contract with the San Diego Chargers to replace the injured Nate Kaeding.
