The vehicle — a dark colored Nissan — sustained substantial damage to the front bumper and windshield.
There were no passengers.
The deceased was identified as Monica Castorena of Mission Viejo.
The driver apparently ran through a red light and rear ended a tanker truck.
Anaheim Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a hotel in the 3100 block of East Frontera Street around 6:30 p.m. after receiving a call of a child who had fallen from the inner courtyard area, according to Lt. Eric Trapp.
