Criminal charges have been brought against a female student at California State University, Northridge for allegedly filing a false police report last month.
A man accused of falsely reporting to police that he had been robbed at gunpoint, which prompted a deadly officer-involved shooting, will not be charged with involuntary manslaughter, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The trial began Friday morning for the former Los Angeles Unified School District police officer accused of lying about being shot.
