A gravel spill on the Riverside (91) Freeway left all but one lane shut down in Anaheim on Monday.
The shutdown of a key Southland freeway connector will force thousands of motorists to detour through Long Beach and Seal Beach starting Monday.
The connector road from the southbound 605 Freeway to the southbound 405 Freeway will close for about two weeks starting Monday as crews make improvements.
The 101 Freeway was closed at the connector to the 110 Friday after a big rig hauling 42,000 pounds of Christmas trees overturned, according to Officer Ed Jacobs of the California Highway Patrol.
