Suspect Pleads Not Guilty In Santa Monica Synagogue Blast

A homeless man accused of setting off an explosive device outside a Santa Monica synagogue last month pleaded not guilty Monday to four federal felony charges.

Ron Hirsch boarded a Greyhound bus Thursday, the same day as the explosion outside the Santa Monica synagogue, the FBI reported. Authorities said Hirsch purchased a Greyhound bus ticket to New York, where he is believed to have family, but was later found in the Cleveland area. (credit: CBS)

Chabad House Bomb Suspect Charged With Four Felony Counts

The man suspected in last week’s explosion outside the Chabad House synagogue in Santa Monica was charged with four felony counts today as county and federal prosecutors sought his extradition from Ohio, where he was arrested.
