Orange County’s sole Metropolitan Park offers a weekly farmers market where visitors can shop for fresh, seasonal produce, breads, flowers, and goods from local artisans. Be sure to check the calendar for themed markets and cooking demonstrations. On the first Sunday of each month, visitors will enjoy live poetry readings and local college students will demonstrate and teach the art and sport of badminton. The market also features a rotating lineup of gourmet food trucks.

As one of the world’s greatest producers of Valencia oranges, it seems fitting that they should host a weekly farmers market. The park was once a working farm and still houses an entire grove of avocado trees. The original farmhouse, which burned down, was rebuilt to replicate the original and has since been made into a public library. The weekly market features conventional and organic produce grown locally as well as organic breads, fish, and tamales.
