Entering its sixth year, the 2013 Sunset Strip Music Festival is about to rock the West Hollywood community once again. Fans making the pilgrimage to this all-ages rock ‘n’ roll mecca are in for some big treats as Linkin Park headlines and acts like AWOLNATION, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Orgy, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Warren G, Sabrosa Purr and a special event tribute to rocker queen, Joan Jett, take the stage Aug. 1 through 3, benefiting Music for Relief. With two main stages and special performances at the legendary Whisky A Go-Go, House of Blues Sunset Strip and Viper Room, this larger than life block-party is the highlight of The Strip every August.

Planning to travel to LA and hit up the SSMF? Then here is the scoop on where to eat, sleep, play, and enjoy the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle.

The Rainbow should be considered our nation’s Rock ‘n’ Roll country club. Where else on any given night can you see iconic rock stars sipping Jack Daniels, Ron Jeremy wooing the ladies, the Osbourne family enjoying dinner and Lemmy from Motorhead playing video poker? This “come as you are” watering hole is known for its good times, great pizza and the stories — oh, the stories. Unlike Vegas, what happens at the Rainbow simply never happened. So grab your leather and don’t forget your studded belt because this is a gig you don’t want to miss!
