RIVERSIDE (CBSLA) — A deputy responding to a vicious dog call instead saved a piglet from becoming roadkill in Riverside.

The stray pig was about to run into traffic when he was saved by Riverside County sheriff’s Deputy Parham, according to a Facebook post.

The owner later retrieved the pig, which had been taken to Riverside County Department Of Animal Services.
