Pursuit Leads To Standoff, Man Handcuffed Naked

MONROVIA — It was a bizarre end to a pursuit in Monrovia Saturday night.

A man wanted for suspected DUI came out of his house with just a towel around his neck and no clothes on.

Sierra Madre police were chasing the man earlier but then they lost him. Monrovia police later found the man and chased him back to his house where the man hid out for about an hour.

The man said he'd only come out after he showered, and he did just that.

An officer briefly took the towel off the man and handcuffed him in the nude. Police then wrapped him up in the towel when they put him in the back of the police car.
