LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles High School was evacuated Wednesday after the school received a bomb threat, authorities said.

Police were sent to the campus in the 4600 block of West Olympic Boulevard at about 8:10 a.m., Los Angeles police officials said.

The campus, and the neighboring Girls Academic Leadership Academy, is being searched and parents were told not to come to the campus to pick up their children.

The two campuses were deemed safe after noon following a sweep using bomb-sniffing dogs.
