YUCCA VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A man accused of leading deputies on a high-speed pursuit in Yucca Valley has been arrested after crashing into a wash.

The pursuit, deputies say, traveled through residential streets, and even into the desert.

It ended after the suspect crashed into a wash near La Contenta Road and Sunnyslope Drive.

The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Timothy Smith of Joshua Tree, was then arrested and booked on suspicion of felony evasion.

Anyone with information about this case was asked to call the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Morongo Basin Station at (760) 366-4175.
