GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Lines were around the building at the Best Buy in Glendale as Black Friday got underway Thursday evening.

CBSLA’s Crystal Cruz was in the middle of the madness spotting the deals.

Shoppers seemed to gravitate towards a 55-inch TV for $479.99, a $300 savings

The store was going to be open until 1 a.m. and reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.

Some people say they have been in line since Sunday.

Except for a small argument over line-cutting store officials say things have been running smoothly.

CBSLA’s Tina Patel was at the Citadel Outlets.

All night shoppers were scooping up deals at the Citadel. A lot of people were willing to stand in lines at the outlets to take advantage of discounts of 40, 50, In some cases, 60 percent off.
