Police: Female Vandal Captured On Camera Defacing Several Historic Los Angeles Landmarks

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A female vandal was caught on camera defacing multiple historic landmarks in downtown Los Angeles last weekend.

Security cameras captured a blue-haired woman vandalizing the walls of the Hall of Justice, Hall of Records and Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, all located on Temple Street.

As the woman passed by the Hall of Justice with a cigarette in one hand and a can of blue spray paint in the other, she wrote anti-Trump graffiti on the walls.

She did it twice before continuing down Spring Street and going into a bus bay at the Criminal Justice Center. She took her time spraying her message there twice.

Next, investigators said she tried to record her words in the walls of the Hall of Records.

And finally, she hit the Heating and Refrigeration Plant.

The vandalism, which happened on Sunday around 6 p.m., caused about $9,000 in damage, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The suspect has a thin built, wore a red and black plaid, long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and carried a burgundy tote bag.

She is believed to be between 30 and 40 years of age.

If you recognize the suspect or have any information about the incident, contact Detective Campbell at (213) 613-3908 and/or via email at ajcampbe@lasd.org.
