Tour Bus Company Had Never Been Disciplined Or Sanctioned

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  — While the NTSB is sending a team to investigate Sunday's crash that killed 13 casino goers near Palm Springs, CBSLA has learned the small tour bus company had a clean record.

Federal records show that USA Holiday owns only one bus and employs one driver. The company had its insurance cancelled a few times, but the feds list no history of discipline or sanctions. The bus had also been inspected earlier this year.

The bus is registered to an apartment in Alhambra.  A neighbor there tells CBSLA that Teodulo Elias Vides is the owner and says he has been driving passengers to casinos for the 17 years she's known him. She said she regularly saw the bus parked outside the home. He shared it with his son and wife, who often also accompanied him on his tours.

The bus was on its way back to Koreatown to drop off the passengers.
