Food Truck Serves Free Burritos To The Homeless In LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —A non-profit organization has joined the expansive Los Angeles food truck scene, serving burritos to those in need of a free meal.
The Share A Meal food truck, which is run by Khalsa Peace Corps (KPC), delivers warm burritos to those who are living on the streets in the following communities each weekday:
Volunteers meet to help prepare 250 burritos, serve hot meals and offer water along with other necessities to the homeless at the following locations:
— Mondays: corner of 3rd and San Pedro streets from 7:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.
— Tuesdays: 1528 N. Wilton Place from 7:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.
— Wednesdays: 3440 S. Hope Street from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
— Thursdays: Venice Boardwalk from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
— Fridays: Skid Row from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
KPC was founded in 2009 by Ravinder and Jacquelin Singh.
