PALMDALE ( — Three people were shot and a fourth person suffered other injuries in a shooting near a shopping center in Palmdale Monday, authorities said. Two suspects were taken into custody

The shooting occurred shortly after 2 p.m. Monday in the 37100 block of West 25th Street near the corner of E Ave S., following a fight that broke out at a smoke shop.

At least one of the gunshot wound victims was in critical condition, authorities said. Two of the patients suffered only minor injuries. The extent of the injuries suffered by the fourth patient was not immediately clear.

The shooting took place near a shopping center that includes a Carl’s Jr., Jiffy Lube, Taco Bell and CVS.
