Multiple Injuries Reported In School Bus Crash In Arlington Heights

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com)    Authorities said as many as eight children were injured in a school bus crash in Arlington Heights Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred just before 3:45 p.m. in the 2400 block of W. Washington Boulevard, at Cimmaron Street, officials said.

Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky9, referred to the crash as a hit-and-run.

The LAFD was assessing 10 patients, including two adults, in the two vehicle collision. All of the injuries took place on the school bus. The adults were identified as the bus driver and an assistant. The eight children ranged in age from 7-12, officials said.

Several of the children were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the LAFD.

The alleged hit-and-run reportedly rear-ended the school bus. No information about the other vehicle was released.

An official cause of the crash is under investigation.
