Latest Scandal At Corona Del Mar High Forces Homecoming Cancellation

NEWPORT BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Alleged alcohol and drug abuse by students at a recent football game forced cancellation of the homecoming dance and pep rally.

According to Principal Kathy Scott, students got out of control during its Battle Of The Bay victory over Newport Harbor. Scott called the behavior "extremely inappropriate and totally inexcusable" and says there's also a disconnect within the parent community.

Other controversies at the school include a cheating scandal in which a tutor spent a year in jail and an NFL style "Prom Draft" where students selected there dates based on rankings.
