Rams To Wear Throwback Jerseys For First Los Angeles Home Game In 22 Years

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Rams will wear throwback royal blue and gold jerseys Sunday to commemorate their first regular-season home game in Los Angeles in 22 years.

The Rams made the announcement on Twitter, with a photo of running back Todd Gurley modeling the retro duds.

The Rams wore blue and white uniforms from 1964-1972, before changing to blue, yellow and white in the '70s. The team wore a different shade of blue and gold in St. Louis.

The Rams plan to wear white uniforms for all home games this season, except for the blue and yellow throwbacks that will be worn against the Seahawks and in one other game, the LA Times says.

The Rams are widely expected to unveil new uniforms when they move into their new stadium in Inglewood in 2019.

The Rams will take on the Seahaws at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at the Coliseum.

Among the other opening-day festivities is a pregame concert by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Singer CeeLo Green will sing the national anthem.
