MONTEREY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Tuesday searched for a hit-and-run driver who sheared a fire hydrant in Monterey Hills.

The crash unfolded in the 3600 block of Monterey Road near Cassatt Street, according to police.

The driver fled from the vehicle following the crash.
