Body Of 34-Year-Old Woman Found In Car In La Habra Identified

LA HABRA (CBSLA.com)  —  The Coroner's Office on Saturday identified the body of a 34-year-old woman who was found in a car at a movie theater.

The woman was identified as Sierra Madre resident Megan Sterling, according to the coroner's office.

A man walking his dog around 7:30 a.m. Friday found Sterling's body slumped over the front seat of the car in the Regal La Habra Stadium 16 parking lot at Idaho Street and Imperial Highway, according to La Habra police Sgt. Ron Hurst.

The witness summoned a police officer, and the officer determined she was dead, Hurst said.

There were no obvious signs of trauma on the body, officials said.

The car did have some "collision damage on both sides," Hurst said. "But we didn't have any collisions last night that she would have been involved in. That seemed a little strange."

An autopsy is expected to be performed by Monday, according to the coroner's office.
