Randy Quaid Is On Fire With RNC, DNC Rants

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Former actor Randy Quaid may have stepped out of the public spotlight, but he's definitely not shy about taking to Twitter to share his political opinions.

It all started off with a relatively tame tweet Quaid shared with the public supporting Donald Trump for president while he posed in front of Trump Tower.

He then followed up with some commentary on Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention last week in Cleveland.

But it wasn't until the leaked Democratic National Committee email controversy happened that Quaid really turned up the Quaid-ness.

Quaid, who is best known for supporting roles in films such as "Independence Day" and "National Lampoon's Vacation", last made headlines back in 2010 when he and his wife were accused of squatting in Santa Barbara.

The married couple then was arrested in Vancouver after Canadian police booked them on U.S. warrants related to vandalism charges stemming from them squatting.

In 2015, Randy Quaid and his wife were ordered held on $500,000 bail each in Vermont on charges that they skipped out of the country five years prior after being charged with vandalism in California.
