Driver Shot After Dropping Customer Off In Hollywood Hills

HOLLYWOOD HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A hired driver was shot Thursday morning after dropping a customer off at a home located in the Hollywood Hills.

The incident unfolded around 2:30 a.m. in the 3600 block of North Troy Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Shortly after the woman exited the vehicle, an unknown African American man approached and appeared to be trying to rob her.

The driver put his car in reverse and attempted to flee from the scene, but his car flipped over due to the narrow width of the street.

At one point, the driver was shot by the suspect. It remains unclear if the shooting took place before or after the vehicle flipped over.

It remains unclear if the woman sustained any injuries.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
