Intense Heat Causes Medical Emergency At Palm Desert Graduation

PALM DESERT (CBSLA.com) — At least nine people were treated for heat-related sickness at Palm Desert High School Saturday morning during a graduation ceremony.

Temperatures were in the high 80s when paramedics were called.

The Riverside County Fire Department says at least one patient was taken to a hospital.

Palm Desert is under an excessive heat warning this weekend.
