Man Wanted For Shooting Pregnant Woman In San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday searched for a 28-year-old robbery suspect who shot a pregnant woman multiple times in San Bernardino.

The shooting unfolded shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of North F Street, according to the San Bernardino Police Department.

Upon their arrival, police located a pregnant female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital in critical condition. At this time, she remains listed in stable, but critical condition. Her unborn baby's condition remains unclear.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was sitting inside of a vehicle with Twonn Alonzo McCoy, of Rialto, when he pulled out a gun and shot her.

McCoy then fled on foot to a nearby gas station and robbed the business at gunpoint for an undetermined amount of cash.

According to police, McCoy carjacked a customer in the parking lot and fled in a 1998 black Jeep Cherokee.

Authorities later recovered the Jeep along the 10 Freeway in Fontana.

At this time, McCoy remains at large.

The investigation is ongoing.
