Amber Heard Files Domestic Violence Restraining Order Against Johnny Depp

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Actress Amber Heard Friday obtained a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband, Johnny Depp, claiming she was a victim of domestic violence.

He was ordered to stay at least 100 yards from his estranged wife's home, car and workplace.

Heard presented a photo with a bruise on her face she claimed was inflicted during a fight with Depp on Saturday.

The 30-year-old actress alleged her 52-year-old husband struck her in the face with his iPhone and shattered various items around their home.

But Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison said officers responded to a report of a domestic incident Saturday, but "the officers determined that a crime did not occur."

In a sworn declaration attached to her documents, she said Depp had attacked her before and was worried he may harm her again.

"During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me," she said.

Depp has a "totally acknowledged public and private history of drug and alcohol abuse," Heard said, adding she was "petrified" he may return to her home.

She also called Depp "paranoid" and said his temper was "exceptionally scary to me."

"She's having a hard time, it's been a long few days," Heard's attorney, Joseph Koenig, said.

The "Alice Through the Looking Glass" star did not appear in court Friday. His attorney, Laura Wasser, said he was in Europe - all the more reason the restraining order was unnecessary.

"Her current application for a temporary restraining order along with financial requests appears to be in response to negative media attention she received earlier this week after filing for divorce," according to court documents.

Heard filed for divorce from Depp on Monday, just days after the death of his mother.

She ignored media questions as she left the courthouse while being escorted by a bodyguard and others.

Depp was ordered to stay away from his wife until a hearing on June 17.

The couple met on the set of "The Rum Diary" and were married in February 2015.
