Driver Loses Control, Plows Through Wall In Carson
CARSON (CBSLA.com) — A four-minute car chase in Carson Saturday morning ended when the motorist smashed into the wall of a commercial building, leaving a big hole.
The chase for the speeding motorist, who was possibly driving a Lexus Coupe or silver Nissan, began on southbound Broadway and 135th Street about 12:56 a.m., ending at 1 a.m. near the intersection of South Broadway and Albertoni Street, said California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi.
The vehicle had careened into the wall of a commercial building there and left a hole, according to sources at the scene.
The driver was taken into custody and sent to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known, Polizzi said.
