Rancho Cucamonga Man, 42, Arrested For Attempted Murder After Allegedly Slamming Vehicle Into Subject He'd Been Arguing With

RANCHO CUCAMONGA (CBSLA.com) —   Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department have arrested a 42-year-old man for attempted murder after he allegedly slammed his car into a man with whom he'd been arguing.

Deputies responded to a medical aid call in the 12000 block of Coriander Court on Monday around 3:45 p.m.

Once on scene deputies determined Danny Pierce and Travis Lee, also 42, were involved in an argument outside Lee's residence.

Officials said Pierce was  in the driver's seat of his vehicle during this argument. Pierce quickly accelerated his vehicle towards Lee and struck him with his car. Lee suffered a severe leg fracture and was transported to a local area hospital.

Pierce fled the scene before deputies arrived.

During the investigation, deputies positively identified Pierce as the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Pierce was arrested for attempted murder and booked at the West Valley Detention Center.

His bail was set at $1 million.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is asked to call the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department (909) 477-2800.
