Los Angeles Rams, Jeff Fisher Talk Potential Contract Extension

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - Despite having never made the playoffs as the Rams head coach, Jeff Fisher is reportedly in the midst of extending his contract with the Los Angeles Rams, per Nick  Wagoner of ESPN.

Fisher, who is 58, is entering his final year of a five-year contract with the Rams, in which the Rams have posted a record of 27-36-1 under Fisher's lead and have yet to make the playoffs, and at the very least, never recorded a winning season.

Despite Fisher's track record, it seems as if the Rams front office and owner Stan Kroenke are set on making Fisher the coach of the future for the organization as they get set for their new home in Los Angeles.

Fisher seems to be the right fit for the Rams as they make the transition to Los Angeles, as he grew up in Southern California, and also attended the University of Southern California (USC), where the team is likely to play their home games for the next few seasons.

If finalized, this would be the second big roster move the Rams would make since their move to Los Angeles, after the team released two of their veteran defensive players Chris Long and James Laurinaitis in early February.
