"Make Donald Drumpf Again" - John Oliver Goes All-Out Against Donald Trump
Los Angeles (CBSLA.com) - Known for not wanting anything to do with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump,"Last Week Tonight" hosted by John Oliver finally dedicated the show's main story to the GOP candidate.
In a 20-plus minute rant, Oliver verbally attacked Trump, mocking past statements made by him, and having fun with the cockiness of of the candidate. Oliver went as far as calling Trump, "America's back mole."
"It may have seemed harmless a year ago, but now that it's become frighteningly bigger, it's no longer wise to ignore it," Oliver said.
At the end of Oliver's tirade, it sparked a brand-new campaign slogan for Trump called "Make Donald Drumpf Again," which has now taken social media by storm.
"'Drumpf' is much more reflective of who he really is," said Oliver. "So if you are thinking of voting for Donald Trump, the charismatic guy promising to make America great again, stop and take a moment to imagine how you would feel if you just met a guy named Donald Drumpf, a litigious serial liar with a string of broken business ventures and the support of a former Klan leader, who he can't decide whether or not to condemn. Would you think that he would make a good president, or is the spell now somewhat broken?"
Oliver went all out with his campaign by also making a website that includes a Chrome Extension allowing you to change every instance of "Trump" to "Drumpf" whenever it appears on your web browser.
