Man Wanted In Riverside For Inappropriately Touching 4 Female Students

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Thursday to locate a man who is accused of inappropriately touching four young girls as they walked to school in Riverside.

Between the hours of 7 and 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, an adult Hispanic man approached the students, who are between the ages of 12 to 18, according to the Riverside Police Department.

During the encounters, the suspect chased each victim and proceeded to touch them in a sexual manner before he fled from the area.

Police said the assaults took place near the following areas: Gramercy Place and Jones Avenue; Gramercy Place and Crest Avenue; Gramercy Place and Wohlstetter Street; and Hole and Jones avenues.

Detectives believe the suspect is between the ages of 30 to 40-years-old. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap or beanie, a black running jacket, black running pants and black shoes.

A composite sketch of the suspect has not been released.

Authorities have advised parents and students to be cautious of surroundings. Suspicious activity or suspicious persons should be reported to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
