Storied Playboy Mansion Could Soon Be Up for Sale, Report Says
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Playboy Mansion could soon be going up for sale, but the price tag may be hefty and may come with a catch.
According to the celebrity entertainment news site TMZ.com, the storied estate will be listed for $200 million.
But experts say that's a stretch.
They say the six-acre Holmby Hills estate is really just a tear-down and will likely sell for less than half of the potential listing price.
As for the catch, the celebrity website reports the 89-year-old Hugh Hefner will receive a life estate interest in the property, allowing him to live there for the rest of his life.
