'The Lost Boys' Actor Brooke McCarter Dies At 52

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — One of the actors in the 80's hit comedy horror movie 'The Lost Boys' died Tuesday.

Brooke McCarter, who played Paul in 1987 film, died as a result of liver illness, according to IMDB.com

The 52-year-old was a native of Philadelphia and born into a family of entertainers. His father was a talented drummer and his grandfather was an acclaimed Vaudeville actor.

After leaving college, McCarter moved to New York to study acting and was cast in his first feature film, 'Thrashin', within months of his arrival.

The actor got his big break with his role in The Lost Boys. But his acting career did not take off after that.
