Water Main Break Causes Growing Sinkhole In Mar Vista

MAR VISTA (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) crews worked to repair a 4-inch water main Thursday that ruptured in Mar Vista.

Water began shooting out of the ground around 2 a.m. after a pipe broke in the 3900 block of Moore Street, according to LADWP crews.

Officials said flooding has caused a growing sinkhole.

Water has been shut off in the area.

At this time, 15 to 20 customers are without water.
