Disturbing Footage Released Amid Accusations Of Abuse At Care Facility In Rancho Cucamonga

RANCHO CUCAMONGA (CBSLA.com) — A residential care facility in Rancho Cucamonga has been shut down and two caregivers have been arrested while authorities investigate accusations of abuse.

Police released disturbing security footage dated June 2014 on Monday night that allegedly shows a male patient at Anyelir Home being shoved, then pushed to the ground and hit.

Other footage from September of last year allegedly shows another woman pushing and shoving a man at the home as he walks in circles.

Police said the women in the video are Marselyn Sihotang and Roselina Sihotang, who work at the facility.

Marselyn has identified herself as the founder of the parent company, Signature Care, on her LinkedIn page.

Police arrested both women on Friday.

"There's these people who can't care for themselves which is why they're in the facility so somebody else can provide care and they're being taken advantage of. They're being abused. They're being neglected. They are not being cared for and it's really sad," Adam Servantas of the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department said.

The women have since bailed out of jail.

A CBS2 news crew attempted to reach each of them, but no one would open the door. Neighbors of both, however, say they're mothers of young kids.

"That is crazy. I did not expect that from her," said one neighbor, while another said: "That's really shocking. Crazy. Wow."

An online state inspection report from a visit to Anyelir 12 days ago shows the inspector "observed client #1 that had bruising around client's eyes."

It went on to say Marselyn Sihotang told the inspector the client "had self-inflicted the bruising."

Another inspection report from September found "hygiene supplies used by the clients were stained and had been contaminated."

The facility has been shut down while under investigation.

Police said a former employee prompted the investigation reporting some of the allegations.
