Man Fatally Shot During Altercation At Pico Rivera Party

PICO RIVERA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a 23-year-old man was fatally shot while attending a party in Pico Rivera.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said the incident unfolded in the 9600 block of Par Place on Sunday.

According to deputies, both the victim and the suspect were at the party when they began to argue.

The victim, according to deputies, was shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies said the suspect fled the location after the shooting.

While an investigation is underway, authorities said that at this time the incident appears to be gang-related.
