Homicide Detectives Investigate Death Of 85-Year-Old Man In Lake LA

LAKE LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives continued to investigate the death of an 85-year-old man on Wednesday.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies were sent around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday to the 41300 block of 151st Street East for report of a family disturbance.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a man lying unconscious on the street in front of his home.

Deputies performed CPR until paramedics arrived to the scene.

The victim succumbed to his injuries. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victim suffered from a form of blunt force trauma to his head.

"Although witnesses heard the victim and his 38-year-old son arguing earlier, it is still unclear how and when the victim received his injuries," explained Deputy Mike Barraza.

At this time, no arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
