Teenage Boy Stuck In Oxnard Chimney Rescued By Firefighters

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters pulled a teenage boy from a chimney early Wednesday after he became stuck.

The call for help came at about 3 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Kelp Lane. The chimney was reportedly attached to a leasing office.

The chimney had to be partially torn down before firefighters could even reach the 15-year-old boy.

The rescue operation took just over three hours.

Oxnard police say the teenager does not live in the area and is now suspected of burglary.

After the boy was medically cleared at Ventura County Medical Center, he was booked on suspicion of commercial burglary.
