Huntington Beach High Placed On Lockdown After Student Reports Seeing Ex-Teacher

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Students and staff of Huntington Beach High School were told to shelter in place after a student reported seeing someone who looked like a former teacher on campus.

Huntington Beach police received a report at 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday about an ex-employee that was seen on the campus, 1905 Main St., according to a watch commander.

While there was no evident threat, the school's administrators instructed all students and teacher to shelter in place as an extra precaution.

The school was cleared to resume its regularly scheduled day by noon after it was determined that the former teacher had not visited the campus.
