Manhattan Beach Police To Wear Pink Patches To Raise Breast Cancer Awareness
MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Employees of the Manhattan Beach Police Department will sport pink patches to raise awareness for breast cancer research, police said on Tuesday.
During the month of October, employees will swap out traditional blue and gold patches for a pink one.
"The members of the Manhattan Beach Police Department join millions of others around the world to bring awareness to this horrible disease," said Chief Eve Irvine. "To every breast cancer survivor and those who are currently in battle, we want you to know that we got your back."
Each breast cancer awareness patch includes a pink sun, lettering and border.
