Hundreds Taste Flavors Of Hollywood At Fourth Annual Sunset & Dine Festival

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Hundreds of residents flocked to Hollywood to enjoy various culinary flavors at the fourth annual Sunset & Dine festival.

On Thursday, nearly 600 guests gathered at Buzzfeed Motion Pictures to enjoy beer, bites and wine from dozens of chef-driven restaurants that are located near the famed intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street.

"Our annual Sunset & Dine food festival showcases the resulting transformation taking place in Hollywood," said Kerry Morrison, executive director of the Hollywood Property Owners Alliance. "We're celebrating what's special about our neighborhoods near the intersection of Sunset and Vine. Since music looms large in Hollywood's history and is central to its future, Sunset & Dine features local talent in a concert curated by Amoeba Records."

Event coordinators explained Sunset & Dine -- sponsored by Kilroy Realty Corporation, Hudson Pacific Properties and the Los Angeles Film School -- was created to bring the community together to help foster the connection between businesses and residences in the area.

Restaurants featured at the festival were Beso, Blue C Sushi, Ciabatta Bar, Cleo at the Redbury, Dandy Don's Homemade Ice Cream, Fabiolus Cucina, The Farmer's Belly, Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop, Kabuki, Los Balcones, McDonald's Shophouse Southeast Asian Kitchen, 33 Taps, Tinhorn Flats and Urban Masala.

"Sunset & Dine brings those who live, work and play in Hollywood together with local chefs, culinary professionals and musicians for a fun evening," added Fabio Conti, of Fabiolus Cucina. "The true entertainment capital of the world is transforming. Special things are happening in Hollywood."

Proceeds of the event will benefit The Center at Blessed Sacrament, which is a non-profit organization that works to end homelessness in Hollywood.

Sunset & Dine was organized by the Central Hollywood Coalition, which is a non-profit board that manages the Sunset & Vine business improvement district.
