IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — A bus carrying a group of teens on a church outing was involved Monday in a slow-speed accident near Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, authorities said.

About 20 kids in their early teens were on board the bus headed for Bible camp near Saddleback Church at 1 Saddleback Parkway when the driver of the bus collided with a pole at a very low speed, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

There were 46 passengers on the bus in all, including chaperones and the driver.

Some minor injuries were reported, OCFA Capt. Steve Concialdi said.

Fire officials say the bus driver hit the pole at a low rate of speed, according to Hodge. The Gold Coast tours bus did not have seatbelts.

A second bus was sent to bring the remaining teens to the camp.
