Deadly Fire Erupts In Jurupa Valley Home

JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Crews Tuesday were on the scene of a fatal fire that erupted at a home in Jurupa Valley.

Around 1:40 a.m., firefighters were sent to a home located in the 7600 block of Olive Court for report of a residential structure fire.

Upon their arrival, authorities located heavy smoke billowing from a single-family home.

According to CAL FIRE and the Riverside County Fire Department, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's identity is being withheld pending family notification.

Shortly after 2 a.m., firefighters contained the blaze.

The American Red Cross was requested at the scene to assist three adults who were displaced due to fire damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
