CHP Officer Among 2 Hospitalized Following Irvine Crash
IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — A California Highway Patrol officer and another motorist were hospitalized following a crash early Thursday at an Irvine intersection.
Two officers were responding with lights and siren to another traffic crash when their patrol car hit another vehicle at around 12:50 a.m., according to the CHP.
The CHP patrol vehicle collided with a red Camaro at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Jeffrey Road.
One of the two officers was hospitalized in unknown condition. His injury was not life-threatening, the CHP reported.
A videographer told City News Service that the driver of the Camaro was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries.
