Young Girl, 2 Men Wounded In Shootings In Compton

COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — An investigation is underway in Compton where three people, including a 9-year-old girl, were struck by gunfire at two crime scenes.

Two of the victims, identified as two Hispanic men, were shot on Alondra Boulevard and Central Avenue, around 8 p.m. Monday.

A watch commander with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says at least one or more assailants targeted the men.

Around the corner, a second crime scene was visible in footage captured by Sky 9.

Police believe the same individual opened fire on a girl there, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The men and the girl were taken to hospitals.

The current condition of the men was not known.

Anyone with more information about this incident was asked to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Compton Sheriff's Station at (310) 605-6500.
