Report: LaMarcus Aldridge To Meet With Lakers 'Immediately' Once Free Agency Begins

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — LaMarcus Aldridge will meet with the Lakers once free agency begins on Tuesday at 9:01 PM, according to a report Monday.

Aldridge, 29, is an unrestricted free agent, and many see the Lakers as a possible landing spot for the All-Star power forward,
Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times reports.

He averaged 23 points and 10 rebounds per game last year playing for the Portland Trailblazers. The San Antonio Spurs, among other teams, will also continue to pursue the big man.

The Lakers just parted ways with forward Jordan Hill, declining his $9 million team option, most likely with the hopes of signing Aldridge.

TNT's David Aldridge reports that LaMarcus Aldridge will meet with the Lakers first, followed by the Rockets, Spurs, Suns, Mavericks, Raptors and Knicks, in that order. However, in what could be a good sign for Laker fans, all of these meetings will take place in Los Angeles.

Aldridge, if he signs with the Lakers, would most likely be accompanied in the starting lineup by Julius Randle, D'Angelo Russell, Kobe Bryant, and either Jordan Clarkson or Nick Young.
