3 Dead, 2 Seriously Hurt In Head-On Crash In O.C. That Also Killed Dog
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO (CBSLA.com) — Three people and a dog have been killed in a crash in southern Orange County.
The Orange County Fire Authority says two cars crashed in a head-on collision just before 8 p.m. Thursday on Camino Capistrano south of Avery Parkway in San Juan Capistrano.
Two people in a Ford Focus died at the scene. The male driver of a Honda Accord and dog in the passenger seat were also killed.
Two passengers in their 20s were transported to the hospital. Both were in serious condition.
The cause of the crash is unknown, but authorities suspect speed may have been a factor in the 45 mile-per-hour zone.
Capt. Steve Concialdi of the OCFA said the Sheriff's Department is investigating.
Camino Capistrano remains shut.
