Police Seek Help To Identify Hit-And-Run Suspects In Huntington Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Tuesday to identify two suspects who backed their vehicle into an 85-year-old woman, checked on her briefly, then drove away.

Surveillance video revealed the suspects struck the victim around 2:38 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of McDonald's, located in the 16800 block of Beach Boulevard, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Police said the suspects exited their vehicle and approached the elderly victim before they fled northbound on Beach Boulevard from the scene.

The victim was left lying on the ground suffering from head injuries. She was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident. She has since been released.

"No broken bones, just bumps, bruises and some pain," a Huntington Beach police officer said.

Detectives described the driver of the vehicle as a Caucasian or Asian man in his mid 20s who has short dark hair, stands 6-feet-tall and has a medium build.

The passenger was described as a Caucasian or Asian women in her early 20s who has long dark hair, stands around 5-foot-5 tall and has a medium build.

According to detectives, the suspect's vehicle is a newer model, charcoal gray Dodge Challenger that has a chrome gas cap and chrome rims. The vehicle does not have a front license plate.
